Mr. Danz is using AirPlay to mirror an ebook from iBook on a MacBook Air to his AppleTV connected to his Smartboard. This allows the students to follow along during a read aloud. In addition, the teacher can use the features of iBooks such as highlighting text, embedded word definitions, note pad, and changing text size, color, font and contrast.

Mr. Danz's student use an iPad app called Quiver which uses augmented reality to explore cell organelles. The student color a special printed diagram and use the the app on the iPad in conjunction with the iPad's built in camera to explore their colored creation in three dimensions. In these pictures, they are able to view their 3D model from all angels to identify the different organelles.
